He then began riffing, saying former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden did nothing for police reform– even though they did and the Trump administration reversed numerous of those measures– prior to going into his normal rotation of random topics that he hits throughout campaign rallies.
He applauded physicians for a HELP vaccine that does not exist, later including a line about therapies after apparently understanding his mistake.
The president occasionally returned to the subject at hand, however he leaned much more heavily into praising police and calling for “law and order” rather than expressing sympathy for protesters and the Black neighborhood.

Trump likewise went on a tangent about 9/11, enhancing first responders for their bravery on a day when he boasted about having the tallest structure in lower Manhattan after the towers fell.

As he waxed poetic about the pre-coronavirus economy, Trump stated, “Everybody was thrilled.
” I always state, even without it, it disappears,” Trump said, referring to a vaccine for the coronavirus. “However if we had the vaccine, and we will, if we had restorative or remedy– something sort of blends into the other– it will be a fantastic day, and I think that’s going to take place, and it’s going to occur soon.”
After he signed the executive order while flanked by various law-enforcement agents, Trump left the Rose Garden without taking any concerns.
